23-4-2024 (JAKARTA) After the Constitutional Court dismissed all disputes concerning the 2024 Presidential Election, presidential candidate pair, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, is gearing up to form their future government coalition. This development comes after the court rejected challenges filed by the pairs Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD. The General Election Commission (KPU) will officially designate Prabowo-Gibran as president-elect and vice president-elect on Wednesday at the KPU office in Central Jakarta, as announced by KPU Chairman Hasyim Asyari.
Ahmad Muzani, Deputy Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team, emphasized that the Constitutional Court’s final and binding decision implies that Prabowo-Gibran will serve as president and vice president for the entire nation, irrespective of voting affiliations. He urged all parties to come together for the collective betterment of the nation. “We will unite as a nation. Work together as a nation. And we will look to the future as a nation. We will fight together to build a better nation,” he stated post the Constitutional Court’s decision.
Muzani highlighted that Prabowo’s focus, post his victory in the lawsuit, would be on fulfilling his campaign promises upon inauguration. He emphasized the public’s anticipation of Prabowo-Gibran’s proposed work program. “Therefore, brothers and sisters, we really need the continuous support given by the Indonesian people. We would like to thank all the Indonesian people who continue to provide input to date regarding the implementation of the work program for the Prabowo-Gibran government,” Muzani explained.
Furthermore, he expressed hope that all coalition parties supporting Prabowo-Gibran would remain united in the forthcoming government. He confirmed the development of a coalition supporting Prabowo-Gibran, underlining the need for a robust government to navigate towards Indonesia’s brighter future.
