27-7-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) The Malaysian government is set to announce investments worth RM25bil on Thursday, according to Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli. The initiative is expected to create around 23,000 high-paying job opportunities for Malaysians.
Rafizi stated that the unity government will continue to produce high-impact economic programs for the benefit of the people. On Thursday, he and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be making two important announcements. Anwar will launch the Civil Economy Framework in the morning, while Rafizi will launch the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) in the afternoon.
These plans will chart the country’s economic path for this decade, attracting investors, generating high-value job opportunities, and increasing incomes. The unity and diversity of parties in the government will prioritize pro-people policies while serving as checks to one another.
Rafizi emphasized the importance of solving daily problems faced by the people to avoid repeating past weaknesses, such as the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. “That is the duty of any government, which is to have solutions and continue to act,” he said.
