4-12-2025 (BANGKOK) Thailand has seized assets valued at more than US$300 million from criminal syndicates operating multibillion-dollar cyberscam centers across Southeast Asia, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announced on Wednesday (December 3).
The dramatic confiscation targets a global web of fraud, following similar crackdowns by authorities in Asia, Europe, and the United States on the Cambodian-based Prince Holding Group and its affiliates. Prime Minister Anutin confirmed that the alleged perpetrators targeted in the Thai seizures—who he described as “among the big ones”—include Chinese-born Prince founder Chen Zhi, a Cambodian senator, and two Thai nationals. The assets taken by Thailand’s Anti-Money Laundering Office include land, cash, luxury goods, and jewelry, with Chen’s individual assets alone valued at US$11.7 million.
This move is part of a coordinated international effort to dismantle criminal hubs that often lure or traffic workers into prison-like conditions to conduct online scams targeting victims globally. The US Justice Department previously labeled the Prince Group as one of Asia’s largest transnational criminal organizations, indicating the sheer scale of the illicit operations being targeted by regional law enforcement.
