16-7-2024 (MUMBAI) In a bizarre attempt to conceal his escapades in Thailand from his wife, an Indian man found himself in legal trouble after tampering with his passport. The incident, reported by the Deccan Herald, involved the individual gluing together 12 pages of his passport to obscure his travel records to the Southeast Asian nation.
According to The Times of India, the passenger, identified as 33-year-old Tushar Pawar, a logistics business operator from Satara, was subsequently detained by the authorities for his actions.
Reports suggest that Pawar’s motive behind tampering with his passport was to avoid potential arguments with his wife. As he prepared to board a flight to Thailand, Pawar was apprehended at Mumbai International Airport for his deceptive actions.
“An officer said Pawar was about to fly to Thailand with his clients,” the report stated.
The officer further explained that Pawar’s actions were an attempt to conceal his previous trips to Bangkok, Thailand, in 2023 and the current year, fearing his wife’s discovery of his overseas ventures.
When confronted, Pawar was unable to provide a reasonable explanation and admitted to having previously traveled to Thailand with friends, without his wife’s knowledge.
