22-8-2023 (MANILA) Following the resounding success of Bonifacio Global City’s (BGC) recently unveiled “Wisdom of Da Vinci AI” exhibit, another captivating and immersive art encounter is set to grace BGC – Van Gogh Alive.
Scheduled to return to Manila this October, Van Gogh Alive will take residence at the BGC Arts Center in Taguig City. The momentous announcement was made via the arts center’s official Facebook page on Saturday, August 19. This engaging experience, developed by Melbourne-based Grande Experiences, has left its artistic imprint in more than 90 cities across the globe. The forthcoming October run marks its second appearance in the Philippines, with its debut run having taken place from October to December 2019.
As per the information available on the BGC Arts Center’s website, Van Gogh Alive will embark on a visual journey through the life of Vincent Van Gogh, particularly focusing on his time in Arles, Saint Rémy, and Auvers-sur-Oise, where many of his iconic masterpieces came to life.
Described as a “multi-sensory” encounter, the exhibition features a classical musical score that harmonizes with an impressive collection of over 3,000 images displayed across vast screens, walls, columns, ceilings, and even the floor. This immersive setup enables guests to completely immerse themselves in the intricate details and artistic techniques of the Post-Impressionist painter.
“This year, the Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. is taking this exhibition to new heights at the BGC Arts Center, offering more interactive and in-depth experiences that will make our guests an integral part of Van Gogh’s historical artistic journey,” as stated on the website.
