27-6-2023 (SYDNEY) Alen Moradian, a notorious crime figure in Sydney, was gunned down in a brazen daylight attack while inside his car in the city’s eastern suburbs. The shooting took place in an underground car park in Bondi Junction on Tuesday and is believed to be a targeted killing related to organized crime activities. Police responded to reports of gunfire and launched an operation on Spring Street at approximately 8:30 am.
Although formal identification is pending, the male driver, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Unofficial police sources have confirmed the victim’s identity as Alen Moradian, also known as Fathead. Moradian was a prominent figure in the Golden Gun syndicate, a criminal organization involved in various illicit activities. Several members of the syndicate have previously received lengthy prison sentences ranging from five to 30 years.
Moradian himself was serving a sentence of 16 years and nine months for charges related to cocaine importation and supply. His wife, Natasha Youkhana, once expressed her frustration with his attention-seeking behavior and compared it to the fictional character Tony Soprano from the television series “The Sopranos.”
Following the shooting, authorities discovered a burnt-out grey Porsche on James Street in Bondi Junction, which they believe is linked to the incident. Investigators are also examining a second burnt-out vehicle, a Holden Commodore on Cook Lane in Zetland, to determine its potential connection to the shooting.
Police have cordoned off Spring Street, where the ambush took place, and are conducting investigations at the scene. Some local residents and business owners attempted to access the area, but were prevented from doing so by the police. Road closures have been implemented, and motorists are advised to avoid the vicinity.
In response to the incident, Holy Cross Catholic Primary School in Bondi Junction temporarily initiated a precautionary lockdown, although it has since been lifted. Witnesses reported observing police entering a nearby shopping center, Kmart Bondi Eastgate, indicating an active pursuit or search operation.
