According to a Reddit post by user CHCH5089, the man in the video is the woman’s neighbour and runs a glamping business in Tanjung Kling, Melaka. The altercation began when the glamping site operator started openly burning waste, causing smoke to infiltrate the elderly woman’s home, severely impacting her health.
Despite attempts by the woman’s family to address the issue with the operator, their pleas fell on deaf ears. They reported the matter to local authorities and law enforcement, but the operator continued the open burning despite receiving warnings.
The confrontation escalated when the woman confronted the operator as he prepared for another open burning session. In a heated argument, the man launched a violent attack on the elderly woman, striking her repeatedly before she fell to the ground.
The user informed that a police report was filed against the assailant, and the elderly woman was taken to the hospital for a check-up.
Outraged netizens condemned the assault, calling for severe repercussions for the perpetrator. Many expressed disgust and demanded justice, stressing that violence against the elderly should never be tolerated.
