(Kuala Lumpur) Tragedy struck near the Sungai Jarom police station in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (May 18) when a man was shot and killed. The incident unfolded late in the evening, prompting authorities to launch a murder investigation.
According to a statement released on Friday (May 17) by Kuala Langat OCPD Supt Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor @Saleh, a volunteer policeman on sentry duty around 11:30 PM heard a series of loud explosions near the police station. Responding swiftly, he proceeded towards the origin of the noise and discovered a man lying on the ground, bleeding profusely.

The victim, a 39-year-old man with a criminal record and a history of 13 prior offenses, sustained a severe head injury. Medical personnel from the Telok Panglima Garang clinic, called to the scene, confirmed the victim’s untimely demise.
Upon further investigation, forensics officers uncovered five bullet casings in close proximity to the crime scene. A thorough examination of the victim’s body revealed four gunshot wounds to the head, painting a grim picture of the lethal attack.
