20-5-2023 (Singapore) Singapore’s Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) conducted a series of successful operations from May 5 to 19, resulting in significant drug seizures with an estimated street value of $354,000. The operations targeted drug trafficking activities, leading to the arrest of multiple individuals and the confiscation of various controlled substances.
In a hotel room located on Geylang Road, CNB officers apprehended two Singaporean nationals, a 37-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, on suspicion of drug trafficking offenses. The raid yielded approximately 1.55kg of heroin, 702g of methamphetamine (commonly known as Ice), 60g worth of Ecstasy tablets, and other drug-related paraphernalia.

Continuing their crackdown on drug-related crimes, authorities conducted a separate raid on a residential unit at Bedok South Avenue 2 on the morning of May 8. This operation resulted in the arrest of six individuals, aged between 17 and 21, for suspected drug offenses. Among the detainees, one was a foreign national, while the remaining five were Singaporeans. The raid uncovered 5.3g of methamphetamine, 2.2g of cannabis, and various drug-related paraphernalia.
The controlled substances seized during the operations included 1.7kg of heroin, 1.37kg of methamphetamine (Ice), 348g of cannabis, 20g of ketamine, 133 Ecstasy tablets weighing approximately 60g, 50 Erimin-5 tablets, 74 Tapendatol tablets, and four bottles of liquid suspected to contain GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate).
