10-6-2023 (TOKYO) Following the recent incident involving a prank at a Japanese conveyor belt sushi restaurant, a video has been circulating on the internet showing a Japanese college student squirting ice cream directly into his mouth. This shocking act has sparked outrage.
According to local media reports, a chain karaoke establishment in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, called “Karaoke Maneki-neko,” experienced an incident of “misconduct” that caused trouble and inconvenience for others. The incident took place in November 2022 when three individuals, all aged 21, visited the karaoke venue. One of the male college students was captured on video bending over in front of the ice cream dispenser and squeezing ice cream directly into his mouth.

The video surfaced on social media in February 2023 and quickly went viral. Upon learning about the incident, the karaoke establishment promptly cleaned the ice cream dispenser and reported the incident to the police. Following the investigation, the authorities located the three young individuals, who were known to be former classmates from middle school. Apart from the college student who consumed the ice cream, the other two individuals were involved in filming and spreading the video.
All three have been formally charged with suspected obstruction of business. The male college student admitted that he acted out of high emotions due to intoxication, while the female student stated, “I wanted to create an amusing video.”
