11-3-2024 (JAKARTA) Aden Wong, a former senior executive at DP World in Singapore, has laid bare the tumultuous details of his troubled marriage and alleged mistreatment of his children by his estranged wife, Amy BMJ. In an exclusive interview with the renowned social media influencer and aesthetics doctor, Dr. Richard Lee, Wong shed light on the harrowing circumstances that ultimately led to his resignation from the global shipping company.
Wong, who had been working tirelessly to support his family, revealed that his wife, Amy, displayed negligent behaviour towards their children. He alleged that she often turned to alcohol and would frequently physically abuse their children. It wasn’t until October 2024 that Wong discovered the extent of the alleged abuse after his children confided in him.
“I initially believed these were just a few bad days, isolated incidents,” Wong confessed. “But when I confronted Amy upon her return from South Korea, I realised the severity of the situation and urged her to stop her actions, emphasising the detrimental impact on our children’s well-being.”
According to Wong, his family’s ordeal began when he relocated to Indonesia for work, leaving his wife and children behind in Singapore. During his absence, he witnessed a troubling decline in his children’s overall well-being. His daughter’s academic performance plummeted from straight As to straight Ds, while his son began getting into fights at school. Even his youngest son, known for his intelligence, started experiencing difficulties with language and counting.
In May 2023, Wong decided to separate from Amy, moving into an apartment near their family home as heated arguments ensued. At the time, Amy was also pregnant with their fourth child. As September/October 2023 approached, Wong realised the toll his absence had taken on his son, and his daughter had even attempted self-harm.
In a heartbreaking revelation, Wong’s daughter, Wang Zhang Yi, aimed to set the record straight about her mother’s portrayal of her father as a villain. Zhang Yi explained that her mother had been spreading false information, accusing her father and his alleged mistress, Tisya Erni, of abducting them. She wanted the world to know that her father genuinely cared for them.
“My mother would often tell us hurtful statements like ‘I wish you were never born’ or ‘my life would be easier if you were not born,'” Zhang Yi disclosed, claiming that her mother drank excessively.
Aden defended his actions, stating that he had discovered the alleged abuse and took steps to protect his children. Zhang Yi expressed that she felt safe only when her father was around. However, after Amy became pregnant, she continued to mistreat them.
Zhang Yi revealed that Aden had met Tisya Erni, who was his assistant at the time, two years ago. Erni had taken care of administrative tasks when their mother was absent. Eventually, Aden asked Amy to move out of their main house in Singapore and provided her with an apartment so that the family could continue living there. Aden had wanted a divorce, but Amy refused.
Zhang Yi disclosed that she had self-harmed with a penknife multiple times last year but had not informed her father. She had confided in her mother, who promised not to tell Aden. Eventually, her father discovered the self-harm and was outraged that Amy had not removed the dangerous objects from their daughter’s reach. Aden learned that she had eight penknives from their helper.
Aden insisted that he had hired three helpers and an assistant to support Amy during her pregnancy in the apartment. He claimed to have provided financial support and necessary assistance, despite the alleged abuse towards their other children. Aden also accused Amy of attempting to bribe their previous helpers to conceal the abuse from him.
Zhang Yi recounted an incident in Jakarta where Aden and Erni took their baby for vaccinations and a regular checkup. Amy, accompanied by some individuals, tried to attack them and snatch the baby. In the process, Zhang Yi was scratched while trying to protect her sibling. She alleged that Amy would often isolate herself in her room, constantly on her phone, while Aden consistently made time for the children, even amid his busy schedule.
Following the recent allegations and public scrutiny, Aden Wong has resigned from his position at DP World, a global shipping company. Wong’s departure was announced through a LinkedIn post on 8th March 2024. Although the exact circumstances leading to his resignation have not been clarified by Wong or the company, it closely followed the exposure of his alleged affair and the subsequent accusations made by his wife, Amy BMJ. The situation has attracted significant media attention and social scrutiny, casting a shadow over Wong’s professional reputation.
