24-6-2023 (BEIJING) Tragedy struck the bustling streets of Xingqing District in Yinchuan, the regional capital of China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, as a devastating explosion ripped through Fuyang Barbecue Restaurant on Wednesday evening. Local authorities have announced that the explosion, caused by a leak of liquefied petroleum gas, has claimed the lives of 31 people, while seven others sustained injuries.
Thankfully, all the injured individuals are now in stable condition after receiving medical treatment. In response to this horrific incident, authorities have taken swift action by placing four individuals under criminal detention on charges of “negligently causing a serious accident.”
The detained individuals include the restaurant operator with the surname Ma, two shareholders named Zhang and Liu, and the restaurant manager identified as Suo. These four individuals were among the nine initially placed under control by public security authorities. As the investigation continues, authorities are actively scrutinizing the involvement of others associated with the tragic event.
