8-5-2024 (SINGAPORE) A woman is set to face charges on Thursday (May 9) for the alleged murder of a 56-year-old man at a residence along Beach Road.
Authorities were notified in the early hours of the same morning, responding to a distress call from a property along Beach Road, as per a police statement released on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered the man lying unconscious within the premises. He was promptly transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
At the scene, the 37-year-old woman was apprehended by authorities.
Police have disclosed that the individuals involved were acquainted with each other, with sources indicating that the suspect is the deceased’s girlfriend.
A knife believed to have been involved in the incident has been confiscated, with investigations currently underway.
The charge of murder carries the possibility of the death penalty.
