13-9-2023 (MANILA) A 52-year-old woman from Laguna found herself the victim of a robbery while conducting a live online selling session.
Agnes Serafica, as reported by “Saksi,” was livestreaming from Sta Rosa, Laguna at 1 p.m. when the robber abruptly interrupted the broadcast.
In the video footage, the robber, donning a helmet, made an entrance into the livestream and demanded that the online seller hand over her jewelry.
“I saw that he had a gun, so we immediately complied. He demanded money from us, but we really didn’t have any money. In the end, they forcefully took my jewelry,” recounted Serafica.
According to the victim, the stolen items included jewelry and a cellphone, with an estimated total value of around P100,000.
Upon conducting an investigation, the police discovered that the culprit was actually the victim’s neighbor, and the suspect had already surrendered to the authorities.
“The suspect often chatted with the victim’s father. According to the victim’s father, he had mentioned that there were three million pesos hidden in the room,” revealed Police Lieutenant Colonel Dwight Fonte Jr.
“That’s what caught their interest, based on the conversation and chat between the two suspects,” he added.
