26-8-2023 (BANGKOK) A prominent Facebook fan page in Thailand known as “Panda Lab Doctor” has recently shared a cautionary case from one of its followers. The page also posted a photograph of breast implants that were removed nearly 20 years ago, revealing their deteriorated condition. What’s more concerning is that the brand of these implants has been deregistered by the Thai Food and Drug Administration.
The blogger highlighted that a long-time follower had breast augmentation many years ago. Upon removal, the implants had degraded significantly, as evident in the provided photograph. The brand of these implants has been officially removed from the approved list by the Thai Food and Drug Administration.
The blogger’s message serves as a reminder to those considering breast augmentation. They emphasize the importance of researching clinics and doctors thoroughly before undergoing such procedures. Potential patients are advised to visit the official website of the Thai Food and Drug Administration or contact their office directly for detailed information.
In a post, the follower who recently had her breast implants removed stated, “Hello, everyone. I had breast augmentation nearly 20 years ago, and I had my silicon implants removed on August 16. It was only then that I discovered the brand of these implants had been deregistered by the Thai Food and Drug Administration. The clinic where I had the procedure done has now become a hospital, and all records and information about past patients no longer exist due to the long passage of time.
The condition of the removed implants speaks for itself. I underwent this procedure when I was between 23 and 25 years old. At that time, I did not research the clinic’s background beforehand. Therefore, I want to remind anyone considering breast augmentation to thoroughly investigate all aspects before proceeding.”
