15-1-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) A man who was shot dead in an incident on Sunday (14-1-2024) has been identified as a wanted individual with a staggering 13 previous records.
Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, disclosed that the suspect, a local resident, had seven criminal records and six narcotics-related offenses. The deadly exchange of gunfire occurred in front of Apartment Sri Acasia, Taman Puchong Prima, at approximately 3:49 pm.
“Ongoing investigations are being conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Subang Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD). The police have also noted the circulation of a video related to this incident on social media, and the public is urged not to disseminate the video to prevent causing public distress,” stated Hussein in an official statement today.
Earlier reports indicated that residents in the Jalan Puchong Prima 3 area were alarmed by the sound of an explosion, believed to be linked to the shooting incident earlier in the day.
A 39-second video clip captured the chaotic scene, featuring several men shouting, accompanied by what seemed to be gunshots.
