4-4-2024 (HANOI) Vietnam has seen a remarkable surge in new business establishments in the first quarter of this year, reaching a peak not seen in a decade, as per local media reports on Thursday.
The General Statistic Office has revealed that a staggering 36,224 new firms sprouted up across the nation during this period.
When considering enterprises that resumed operations, the tally soared to an impressive 59,848.
A particularly encouraging trend surfaced in March, with a notable increase in both the number of newly established businesses and those re-entering the market, standing at 17,136. This figure surpassed the 10,531 temporarily withdrawing from the market, according to Vietnam News Agency.
The report pinpointed small-scale enterprises, with capital below 10 billion Vietnamese dong (equivalent to 416,000 U.S. dollars), as the most prevalent type exiting the market.
