24-6-2024 (BANGKOK) A man in Rayong, Thailand, woke up to a nightmare scenario – a venomous snake had taken refuge in his boxer shorts while he slept. This chilling discovery prompted a hasty and daring snake retrieval operation, which was documented in a captivating video shared on the Facebook page of snake rescuer Ner KhwaiTai on June 8, 2024.
According to reports from Thai news media Thaiger, the caption accompanying the video read: “A little cobra with big venom. It seeks warmth in human’s boxer shorts. Don’t catch the wrong snake!” This ominous warning underscored the gravity of the situation and the potential danger posed by the unwelcome reptilian visitor.
The video footage begins with two agile members of the Snake and Rescue Rayong team making their way to the residence where the snake had taken up its unexpected lodgings. Upon entering the house, they were greeted by the sight of a half-naked man lying on the floor, visibly shaken by his close encounter with the venomous creature.
As the rescuers approached, the man pointed to his boxers, indicating the location of the serpent’s hiding place. One of the rescuers squatted beside the man, shining a torchlight into the leg of the underwear, and cautioned him to remain perfectly still.
With precision and care, the rescuer utilized a snake hook to reach into the man’s boxer shorts. Moments later, the tail of the snake emerged, followed by its head, which peered out from the confines of the garment. The rescuer deftly maneuvered the reptile out of its temporary shelter and safely secured it in a bag.
