19-7-2023 (MANILA) United Airlines (UAL) has announced its plans to inaugurate its maiden trans-Pacific service, featuring daily nonstop flights from Manila to San Francisco in the United States.
According to a statement released on Wednesday, UAL’s eastbound service is scheduled to commence on October 30, pending government approval. This marks a significant milestone for the airline as it represents their first-ever trans-Pacific service since commencing operations in Manila back in 1982.
As the only U.S. carrier offering this direct route, United Airlines aims to strengthen connectivity between Manila and the continental United States, facilitating smoother travel for passengers between the two regions.
For passengers embarking on the westbound journey from San Francisco to Manila, the inaugural flight is scheduled for October 29.
United Airlines will deploy its B777-300ER aircraft for these trans-Pacific flights. The plane will be equipped with 60 seats in the United Polaris business cabin, 24 seats in the United Premium Plus cabin, and 266 seats in the United Economy cabin, providing a variety of options to cater to passengers’ needs and preferences.
