15-12-2024 (NEW JERSEY) Growing frustration over mysterious aerial phenomena has prompted New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy to demand direct intervention from President Biden, as unexplained UFO sightings continue to puzzle residents and authorities across the Garden State.
In a strongly-worded letter to the White House, Murphy highlighted the “deeply troubling” surge in UFO incidents since mid-November, particularly condemning what he described as an inadequate federal response to the situation. The governor’s concerns have been amplified by reports of nearly 50 separate sightings during a single evening, including alarming incursions into restricted airspace above the Naval Weapons Station Earle in Monmouth County.
The mounting pressure from state officials stands in stark contrast to the measured stance adopted by federal authorities. National Security Spokesman John Kirby maintained during a recent press briefing that intelligence assessments have found “no credible evidence” linking the sightings to national security threats or foreign adversaries.
“Many of these reports likely involve legitimate aircraft operating within normal parameters,” Kirby stated, though his assurances have done little to quell local anxieties.
We oriented ourselves with a flight tracker app to help us distinguish from airplanes. We often saw about 5-7 lights at a time that were low and not associated with aircraft we could see on the tracker app. Some hovered while others moved across the horizon. 2/11 pic.twitter.com/ZryJlWA97X

The Federal Aviation Administration has responded by implementing temporary flight restrictions over critical infrastructure and military installations. However, witness accounts of large, car-sized objects moving in formation continue to fuel speculation about their origin and purpose.
Local political figures have seized upon the controversy, with Congressman Jeff Van Drew raising concerns about potential foreign surveillance. Meanwhile, Senator Andy Kim’s social media post featuring footage of unidentified aerial phenomena has garnered significant attention, further stoking public interest.
The mystery has captivated local residents, leading to the formation of a Facebook group dedicated to tracking the sightings. The group has swelled to nearly 44,000 members, with participants sharing everything from video evidence to elaborate theories about military testing and extraterrestrial visitors.
