5-1-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) Nigel Ng, the Malaysian stand-up comedian and popular YouTuber known as Uncle Roger, has ignited speculation about a potential new relationship with his latest Instagram posts.
Ng shared several photos from his visit to Chiang Mai, Thailand, on Jan 2, accompanied by the caption, “Chiang Mai dump. Last pic is how I feel about 2024. Happy new year.”
Two of the photos depict a man, resembling Ng, holding hands with a woman. The initial shot captures their back view, and the second, while their faces remain unclear, continues to fuel curiosity.
Social media users swiftly commented on the post, questioning whether the woman is the new “auntie,” alluding to Auntie Helen, the fictional former wife of Uncle Roger frequently featured in his comedic content.
In a food travel vlog with YouTuber Shu Lin posted in April 2020, Ng revealed that he was divorced. “I ruined a marriage for stand-up,” he confessed, emphasizing the all-consuming nature of his career. “Yeah, I used to be married, but stand-up is all-consuming,” he shared. Ng acknowledged the sacrifices required for greatness in any craft, acknowledging the inevitable price one pays.
