11-7-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR)Â Two bodies, believed to be those of Malay women, were discovered in an SUV that had been stationary for several days, casting a pall over the usually peaceful community.
The grisly find was made at approximately 6 pm when locals noticed a disturbing fluid seeping from the vehicle’s door. Upon closer inspection, they were confronted with the shocking sight of two deceased individuals within the car, parked adjacent to Jalan Tembikai in Taman Sri Rambai, Bukit Mertajam overlooking a serene lotus pond.
Alarmed by their discovery, residents promptly alerted the local security team. Upon arrival and assessment of the situation, security personnel immediately contacted the authorities. In a twist that may prove crucial to the investigation, an envelope bearing a phone number was found on the vehicle’s dashboard. This led to the swift notification of the deceased’s family members.
Initial reports suggest that one of the women hails from Negeri Sembilan and had been reported missing for several days. The other individual is thought to be from Penang, though details remain scant as the investigation unfolds.
Law enforcement officials have descended upon the scene, with forensic teams meticulously combing the area for evidence. Medical personnel are also on site, assisting the police in their preliminary enquiries. As part of standard procedure, the bodies have been transported to Bukit Mertajam Hospital’s morgue for post-mortem examination.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain shrouded in mystery. Authorities are tight-lipped about potential causes, emphasising that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the identities of the deceased and the events leading to this tragic outcome.
This incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, with residents expressing disbelief that such a grim discovery could be made in their neighbourhood. “We’ve never seen anything like this before,” said a visibly shaken resident who wished to remain anonymous. “It’s unsettling to think that this vehicle was here for days without anyone realising what had happened inside.”
