6-11-2023 (MANILA) A tragic road accident claimed the lives of four individuals on Monday in the Rizal province, situated to the east of the Philippine capital, Manila, as reported by local police.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Ryan Manongdo, the accident occurred when a speeding car was traveling along a highway in Antipolo City and collided with the rear of a 10-wheeler delivery truck. The collision caused the car to slide underneath the truck, resulting in a devastating impact. The force of the crash crushed the top of the car, leading to the immediate deaths of all four occupants, who were in their twenties, at the accident site.
A distressing video that surfaced on social media depicted rescue workers diligently extracting the lifeless bodies of the four victims from the mangled remains of the car.
An investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances and factors that contributed to this tragic incident. The accident also led to traffic disruptions on the busy highway as authorities worked to address the situation and gather information about the accident’s cause.
