7-1-2025 (KUALA LUMPUR) The bodies of a woman and her newborn infant were discovered this morning in Impiana Garden, Kulai residential area, prompting a police investigation into what appears to be a tragic case of maternal mortality.
The grim discovery was made at approximately 8:00 AM along Impiana 5 Road when a commuter spotted the pair lying motionless along the road. The woman, believed to be of Indonesian origin, was found cradling her deceased male infant, painting a devastating portrait of what may have been her final moments.
Eyewitnesses described the woman as having distinctive red-dyed hair and wearing traditional sarong attire. The infant was found with his umbilical cord still attached, leading investigators to suspect a case of complications during childbirth.
Initial examinations at the scene by emergency responders confirmed both mother and child had passed away. Notably, investigating officers observed that both bodies appeared to have been cleaned, with no visible blood traces, suggesting they may have been moved to the location after death.
