17-8-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) The skies over Elmina Township in Selangor, Malaysia turned tragic as a light aircraft crashed, carrying a total of six passengers and two flight crew members. The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) has released details about the distressing incident, shedding light on the grim outcome of the flight.
As of press time, the conditions of those aboard remain unconfirmed, casting a pall of uncertainty over the tragedy.
In an official statement, CAAM CEO Datuk Captain Norazman Mahmud revealed the chilling details of the incident. The aircraft, identified as a Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) with registration number N28JV, crashed near Elmina, Shah Alam, Selangor.
Operated by Jetvalet Sdn Bhd, the aircraft had initiated its journey from Langkawi International Airport at 2:08pm, bound for Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang.
The timeline of events leading to the catastrophe was documented in aviation records. The aircraft made initial contact with Subang Air Traffic Control Tower at 2:47pm.
