25-12-2023 (MANILA) In a shocking incident on December 24, two lives were tragically cut short, and three others left injured, as a man seized control of a parked military truck and deliberately drove it into shoppers outside a market in Davao City, located in the southern Philippines.
According to the police, the truck had been parked on the street with its engine running when the assailant, without warning, commandeered the vehicle and directed it towards a densely populated area. The reckless act resulted in the immediate loss of a man and a woman’s lives at the scene. Additionally, a car and two motorcycles suffered damage in the chaotic episode.
Law enforcement swiftly apprehended the suspect, who is currently in police custody.
