15-6-2023 (JAKARTA) TikTok, the popular short video app, has announced its plans to invest billions of dollars in Southeast Asia in the coming years, according to CEO Shou Zi Chew. The announcement was made during an event held in Indonesia, where Chew highlighted TikTok’s growing user base and its expansion into the realm of e-commerce.
Chew emphasized that TikTok’s content is becoming increasingly diverse as it attracts more users and offers a platform for small vendors. Currently, the app hosts around 2 million small vendors who sell their products through the platform.
