As the blaze raged, authorities swiftly mobilized to bring the situation under control. The Pahang Fire and Rescue Department confirmed that they were actively engaged in extinguishing the fire, with an official statement promised to provide further details on the incident.

In a statement released to the public, Genting Malaysia Bhd, the operator of the sprawling complex, shed light on the unfolding events. According to their account, the fire broke out at approximately 4:30 pm, prompting an immediate evacuation to ensure the safety of all visitors and personnel.
“Evacuation was carried out immediately to ensure members of the public were out of harm’s way. Our fire units responded promptly to extinguish the fire,” the statement read, underscoring the company’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of those on the premises.
While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, Genting Malaysia Bhd sought to allay concerns by asserting that the blaze was contained within the SkyAvenue Complex and did not spread to any other areas of the vast resort complex.
