15-1-2024 (VIENTIANE) The recent visit of Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to Laos has played a significant role in fortifying the friendly ties, mutual understanding, and cooperation between the two nations, as reported by Lao national TV on Monday.
Commencing on Friday, Princess Sirindhorn engaged in discussions with Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith, focusing on enhancing the amicable relations between Laos and Thailand. President Thongloun expressed his high regard for the princess’s visit, emphasizing its role in further solidifying the cooperative relations between the two nations following the elevation of their bilateral ties.
As part of her itinerary, the princess participated in an event commemorating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Laos’ Huayxone-Huayxua Agricultural Development Service Center, a collaborative project between the two countries.
Expressing her satisfaction with the visit to Laos, Princess Sirindhorn lauded the ongoing development in the country. She conveyed her optimism that bilateral ties would continue to strengthen in the future, according to the report.
