6-6-2023 (BANGKOK) In a heated altercation between a Thai girlfriend and her foreign boyfriend, the situation took a violent turn as the girlfriend stabbed her partner in the leg and quickly fled the scene, leaving a knife lodged in his calf.
The incident unfolded yesterday, May 4th, at around 11 PM in the bustling Soi Buakhao area of South Pattaya, located in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province. When the Sawang Boriboon rescue team arrived at the scene, they found the injured foreigner, whose identity remains undisclosed, with a kitchen knife embedded in his left calf.
Eyewitnesses present at the time recounted the events to The Pattaya News, revealing that the assailant was likely the man’s Thai girlfriend, who managed to flee before authorities arrived. Prior to the stabbing, witnesses observed the couple engaged in a heated argument. In a fit of anger, the woman armed herself with a fruit knife and pursued the fleeing foreigner, who retaliated by throwing a chair at her. Unfortunately, the situation escalated, resulting in the man being stabbed in the calf. Good Samaritans intervened to halt the fight, after which the two parties went their separate ways.
Pattaya Police are diligently working to identify the woman involved in the altercation. Remarkably, the injured foreigner refused medical assistance and hastily left the scene before the arrival of law enforcement. He declined to cooperate with the police, refusing to meet with officers or await their arrival for further investigation.
Pattaya Police expressed their curiosity regarding the man’s hasty departure, considering it unusual that the victim would flee before the authorities could reach the location, especially given his role in the incident. They are also determined to establish his identity in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the events that transpired.
