22-7-2023 (BANGKOK) Luggage mix-ups are a common occurrence, and travellers often resort to marking their luggage with colourful ribbons or tags to avoid such incidents. However, a designer in Thailand has taken a unique approach to identify his luggage at baggage claim.
Sorrachat Phanich, a designer based in Thailand, has opted for a luggage cover with his own face printed on it. The designer shared a video of his luggage on social media platform TikTok on July 12, which has since gone viral with over 1.7 million views, 87,000 likes, and 900 comments.
The clip, which was seemingly recorded at an airport in China, shows the luggage with a large image of the designer’s face moving on the conveyor belt. A young boy waiting for his own luggage was surprised and did a double-take upon seeing the innovative suitcase. It’s worth noting that the luggage cover features Sorrachat’s face on both sides.
