9-2-2024 (LOS ANGELES) American singer Taylor Swift has sold one of her two private jets amidst a heated flight-tracking dispute. The sale took place just a week before Swift’s legal team issued a cease-and-desist letter to a college student who had been meticulously tracking and sharing her flight information on social media platforms. The singer’s attorneys claimed that such actions posed a serious security risk, potentially enabling stalkers to locate her.
The private jet in question, a Dassault Falcon 900, was owned by Swift for over a decade before being sold in January. According to records from the Federal Aviation Administration, the aircraft’s new owner is a Limited Liability Company associated with CarShield, a reputable firm specializing in automobile repairs and service plans. The purchasing LLC, named Triangle Real Estate, is based in Missouri and was established in 2006. TMZ reports that Nicholas Hamilton, a former officer of the company, is linked to the transaction.
Notably, the address of the new owner is listed as a CarShield call center located in St. Peters, Missouri. Presently, Nick Hamilton serves as the CEO of CarShield. While the exact sale price of the private jet remains undisclosed, industry experts estimate that a Dassault Falcon 900 typically commands bids of around US$40 million (S$53.8 million).
Despite parting ways with one of her private jets, Taylor Swift still retains ownership of a Dassault 7X jet. Meanwhile, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is currently gearing up for the Super Bowl in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 11. Swift has been a steadfast source of support for Kelce throughout his journey to the Super Bowl, and he publicly acknowledged her role in raising the profile of the Kansas City Chiefs and the NFL. In an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Kelce expressed his gratitude, stating, “She’s all in. She’s part of Chiefs Kingdom 100 percent.”
As Kelce adapts to dating a high-profile celebrity, he admits that he is still navigating the challenges that come with it. He likened the experience to being on a plane ride, trying to figure things out on the go.
