21-6-2023 (TAIPEI) Another Taiwanese celebrity has been accused of sexual harassment. This time, it is NONO (Chen Xuan-yu), who allegedly sexually harassed nearly 20 women, according to the social media influencer, Little Red Teacher. She revealed that NONO had dragged a girl to a disabled toilet on a busy street and had unprotected sex with her. When confronted, NONO claimed he had no recollection of the incident.
The accusations of sexual harassment against NONO began with a former model who claimed that she was almost sexually assaulted by a male guest, who had insisted on driving her home after a show recording more than a decade ago. The guest, who was allegedly NONO, pinned her down in the car, kissed her, touched her breasts, tried to put his hands under her skirt, and groped her thighs.
Although the model managed to resist him, he still continued to touch her on the way back. She was so traumatized that she called for help and was advised to expose him to the media. However, since there was no evidence, she chose to keep quiet.
After this post went viral, NONO’s agent denied the allegations, saying that he had no knowledge of the incident. However, Little Red Teacher, who was also a victim, bravely spoke up and accused NONO of groping her thigh, kissing her, and carrying her to a dark park. She claimed that NONO was a serial harasser who preyed on young women who were too afraid to speak out. She also revealed that she had to take antidepressants and sleeping pills every day to cope with the trauma.
The recent wave of accusations against Taiwanese celebrities has exposed the dark side of the entertainment industry. Many victims have spoken out, hoping to bring change and justice to the industry.
