24-5-2023 (Kuala Lumpur) The Swiss-based Swatch Group has announced its intention to take legal action in order to reclaim the “Pride Collection” rainbow watches that were confiscated by the Ministry of the Interior in Malaysia.
According to Reuters, Nick Hayek, the chief executive of Swatch Group, expressed his disappointment and concern regarding the raid conducted by the Ministry of the Interior. He emphasized that the series of watches, which convey a message of “peace and love,” pose no harm to anyone.
Swiss newspaper “Tages-Anzeiger” reported that the company plans to pursue legal measures to retrieve the confiscated watches.
