27-5-2023 (London) A 21-year-old social media influencer and model has pleaded guilty to stalking multiple Premier League players after a short-lived relationship ended. The influencer, Orla Sloan, bombarded the players with relentless calls and messages across various platforms, using different phone numbers and social media accounts.
Sloan falsely claimed to have become pregnant by one of the players, Mason Mount, despite the fact that they had never been intimate. She also targeted Billy Gilmour and Ben Chilwell, both Chelsea and England players, with her alarming behavior.

In court on Wednesday at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, Sloan admitted to charges of stalking Mason Mount, stalking involving fear of violence or serious distress against Billy Gilmour, and harassment of Ben Chilwell, who is a full-back for both Chelsea and the England national team.
The three players initially met Sloan at a party in 2020, and she had a brief sexual encounter with Mason Mount. However, after approximately six months of communication, Mount decided to end the relationship, leading to Sloan’s obsessive behavior.
Sloan bombarded the players with a barrage of messages and calls, which started off innocently but escalated to become threatening. In one instance, she even created an alter ego and wrote to Mount, saying, “You and Ben (Chilwell) will be destroyed. Beware of devil baby Mason, I can morph in a second.” This caused genuine concern for the players’ safety and privacy.
Mason Mount expressed his worries, stating, “She knows roughly where I live and where I train. I am concerned that if I cannot be reached, she might show up at my training center.”
Billy Gilmour, who transferred from Chelsea to Brighton in 2022, emphasized that the situation was particularly challenging in a new environment. He said, “I had trouble sleeping and had to resort to sleeping tablets. It negatively impacted my performance. I consistently received notifications of messages from Orla or was contacted by people she was harassing. I was worried not only for myself but also for those targeted by Orla.”
Sloan is scheduled to be sentenced on June 20, with the judge cautioning that a prison sentence is likely due to the severity of her offenses. The judge noted, “The nature of the offenses and the fact that three different individuals were targeted indicates that custody is a realistic outcome.”
