18-12-2023 (SINGAPORE) Singapore’s Non-Oil Domestic Exports (NODX) witnessed a 1 percent year-on-year increase in November, marking an end to 13 consecutive months of contraction, as reported by government agency Enterprise Singapore on Monday.
The overall exports of the city-state experienced a 2.8 percent year-on-year growth in November, while total imports saw a decline of 2.5 percent, stated the report.
In November, electronic exports faced a contraction of 12.7 percent year-on-year, whereas non-electronic exports demonstrated a growth of 5.2 percent, as revealed by the government agency.
Although NODX to Singapore’s major markets declined in November, exports to the United States, the Chinese mainland, Thailand, and China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region witnessed an increase, according to the data.
On the other hand, Singapore’s oil domestic exports experienced a 2.7 percent year-on-year decline in November, following a significant expansion of 12.6 percent in October, as outlined in the report.
