16-6-2024 (HANOI) In a chilling turn of events, the lifeless body of a Singaporean woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was unearthed in a Ho Chi Minh City apartment on Thursday, the 13th of June. The grim discovery has sent shockwaves through the local community and raised numerous questions about the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise.
According to reports from Vietnamese media outlets, the woman’s remains were discovered within the confines of The Goldview condominium, a residential complex located in the heart of Vietnam’s bustling metropolis. Disturbingly, the last known sighting of the individual was recorded on the 31st of January, a span of nearly five months prior to the macabre finding.
The unsettling revelation unfolded when the owner of the apartment, whose name has not been divulged, made the gruesome discovery and promptly alerted the condominium’s management committee. Consequently, the local authorities were summoned to the scene to initiate an investigation into the perplexing case.
Preliminary inquiries by Vietnamese law enforcement have shed light on several perplexing details. Notably, the apartment’s proprietor had not leased the unit to any tenant, raising questions about how the woman gained access to the premises. The Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has confirmed that its Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City has been actively collaborating with local authorities to investigate the case. Additionally, the MFA and the Consulate-General have been extending their assistance and support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
Expressing their condolences, a spokesperson for the ministry stated, “We express our deepest condolences to the family.” However, the representative emphasized that the MFA is unable to provide further commentary on the case due to the ongoing nature of the investigations.
