16-10-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) A Singaporean couple sustained multiple injuries to their hands and legs following a harrowing Porsche crash into a lamppost in Johor on Sunday morning, as reported by Malaysian media outlets.
The couple was part of a luxurious car convoy journeying from Batu Pahat to Mersing when the accident occurred in Kluang, according to Oriental Daily.
Sinar Harian further detailed that the driver suffered a broken left leg and injuries to his hands and feet, while his wife incurred injuries to her hands and legs.
Kluang police chief Bahrin Nor provided additional insights, revealing that the Porsche skidded and collided with a lamppost while making a turn at approximately 9:45 am. He emphasized the significant damage sustained by the car, particularly at the front and rear bumpers, though other vehicles in the convoy remained unscathed.
A video and photos shared by Inforoadblock on Facebook depict the stark aftermath of the accident, with the white Porsche displaying extensive damage to both its front and rear, and its right wheel dramatically askew. Nearby, a fallen lamppost adds to the scene.
In response to inquiries from ST (The Straits Times), a Porsche spokesperson acknowledged awareness of the incident involving a Porsche in Malaysia, assuring that “both the driver and the passenger are safe.”
