10-10-2023 (SINGAPORE) Singapore experienced a significant boost in tourism in September, with 1.13 million visitors arriving in the city-state, marking a nearly 45% year-on-year increase, as reported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
Indonesia emerged as the primary source of visitors to Singapore for the month, surpassing other nations such as the Chinese mainland, Australia, Malaysia, and India. These figures indicate the resurgence of Singapore’s travel and tourism sector after the challenges posed by the global pandemic.
The STB’s statistics show that, during the first nine months of the year, Singapore received over 10 million visitors, reflecting the city’s appeal as a vibrant travel destination.
