20-6-2023 (BANGKOK) The baht bus cooperative in the popular tourist city of Chiang Mai is urging its members to take steps to prevent a recurrence of a recent incident involving a foreign woman engaging in inappropriate behavior on a downtown red bus.
Natthawut Chotethaweephun, President of Nakornlanna Co, expressed concern about the negative impact such behavior could have on the image of Chiang Mai, known for its beautiful culture and tourism, as well as the reputation of the red baht buses. The cooperative consists of 2,199 red baht bus operators in Chiang Mai.

The call for action comes after three videos were posted on TikTok by a user named huanxi59, who identified herself as a Chinese girl. The videos captured a woman engaging in provocative movements while riding a red baht bus in downtown Chiang Mai. She was wearing a bra top and proceeded to expose her bottom and G-string panties. Each video has garnered between 500,000 and one million views.
According to Mr. Natthawut, the woman is believed to have boarded a red baht bus in the Tha Phae area, although the specific bus and driver have not been identified yet. The cooperative has requested assistance from its members in identifying the bus. However, it is believed that the driver may not have been aware of the passenger’s behavior due to limited visibility through the rear-view mirror.
Mr. Natthawut emphasized the importance of all members working together to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
