According to eyewitnesses, the assault took place on a busy street in Beijing, where the diplomat was confronted by an assailant wielding a kitchen knife. The attacker, dressed in a white shirt, launched a frenzied attack on the diplomat, resulting in a violent struggle that left a pool of blood on the ground. The attacker continued to stab the diplomat multiple times before walking away with the knife, leaving the victim lying in a pool of blood.
Police authorities in Beijing have launched an investigation into the incident, and while it remains unclear whether the assailant has been apprehended, officials have confirmed that the diplomat’s condition is stable.
