12-7-2023 (BEIJING) China Daily reported a harrowing incident involving a Chinese passenger plane that encountered severe turbulence, leading to injuries for some passengers who were not wearing their safety belts. Their bodies slammed against the aircraft’s ceiling, causing head injuries amidst the distressed cries of the passengers.
Air China Airlines confirmed that the incident depicted in the video occurred on their domestic flight “CA1524” from Nanchang to Beijing on Monday, July 10. As a result of the turbulence, one passenger and one flight attendant sustained injuries. Following the incident, passengers on the flight shared video clips and images, expressing their gratitude for the fortunate circumstances that allowed them to survive.
