28-6-2023 (LONDON) Pink, the renowned pop star, was taken aback when a fan hurled a bag of their mother’s ashes onto the stage during her headline performance at the British Summer Time festival in London over the weekend.
In a witness video posted on Twitter on Monday, Pink, 43, can be seen picking up a plastic bag containing the cremated remains and asking the audience, “Is this your mom?” Sporting a shocked expression, she confessed, “I don’t know how I feel about this,” before regaining her composure and placing the ashes on the edge of the stage.
As captured in the footage, the pop star shook her hands, presumably attempting to rid herself of any residue, before continuing to sing her hit song “Just Like a Pill,” all the while looking visibly astonished.
The witness who shared the video on Twitter captioned it with, “Someone gave their mother’s ashes to Pink. I need y’all to have boundaries like, girl, what?!

Another Twitter user claimed to have knowledge about the incident, stating, “OK, so my friends were near this lady, and the back story is… her mum couldn’t get out much as she was so ill when alive, so this lady takes her ashes places. So, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but if it gives this woman comfort, then that’s up to her. Not for me though.”
Numerous other individuals responded to the clip, sharing their thoughts on this surprising occurrence. “She handled it well ’cause I’d definitely be mad that someone handed me their mom’s ashes,” wrote one person, while adding, “I understand why some celebrities are standoffish now.”
