13-4-2024 (SINGAPORE) Before gracing the stage at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) on April 12, Taiwanese singer-actor Richie Jen seized the opportunity to explore Singapore and indulge in some leisure time. However, his escapade was somewhat curtailed.
In a light-hearted Instagram post shared yesterday, the 57-year-old entertainer quipped about the challenges of maintaining a low profile amidst enthusiastic fans. “I’m lucky to meet all of you, but please don’t tell anyone you met me haha. Otherwise, it would be difficult for me to go out again,” he wrote.
Accompanying the post was a video in which Richie expressed his delight at being back in Singapore after a prolonged absence. Noting the significance of Hari Raya, he expressed a desire to immerse himself in the festive ambience.

However, his plans to roam freely were gently curtailed by an RWS staff member who cautioned against venturing into crowded areas. Despite their best efforts to blend in, Richie’s presence didn’t escape the notice of his ardent fans, who eagerly approached him for photos.
Ever the gracious celebrity, Richie obliged with a smile, though he discreetly signaled for restraint to avoid drawing too much attention. The video concluded with a humorous moment as Richie, faced with an approaching crowd, jokingly opted for a swift exit, playfully evading the limelight.
