3-10-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) The Malaysian Ministry of Plantations and Commodities is suggesting a reduction in the windfall levy for palm oil producers in the states of Sabah and Sarawak, cutting it from 3% to 1.5%, according to Minister Fadillah Yusof, as reported by state news agency Bernama. The proposal has been submitted to the finance ministry for consideration. Sabah and Sarawak are renowned as the largest palm oil-producing states in Malaysia.
