18-10-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) A prominent local airline co-founder, bearing the honorific title Datuk, along with his wife and son, has been placed under a four-day remand.
The Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID), under the leadership of Director Comm Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, has taken this step to aid ongoing investigations as per the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
Comm Datuk Seri Ramli confirmed the development, stating that the remand application was executed at the Jinjang central lockup. “We managed to obtain a four-day remand order for the suspects,” he reported during an inquiry on Wednesday (October 18).
Earlier reports indicated that the 57-year-old Datuk, along with his 55-year-old wife and 26-year-old son, were apprehended by the CCID at around 5:30 PM on Tuesday (October 17) at their residence in Shah Alam.
