This touching story unfolded when a prison guard decided to throw a surprise birthday celebration for an inmate by gifting him pizza. The heartwarming event was captured in a TikTok video that has since gone viral.
The video showcases the prison guard, Ferdinand Malambae, casually entering the prison cell and engaging in conversation with other inmates. However, a surprise was in store for one particular inmate, Boyok, whose birthday was being celebrated.
Ferdinand, with a mischievous smile, turned to Boyok and inquired, “You’ve been saying some negative stuff about me recently, haven’t you?” Boyok vehemently denied any such claims. Unbeknownst to Boyok, the other inmates were all part of the surprise plan and enthusiastically played along by confirming that Boyok had indeed spoken ill of Ferdinand behind his back.
Ferdinand, in a playful manner, taunted Boyok by remarking, “Just because you have a strong physique, did you underestimate me? That’s rather ungrateful.” He then inquired about Boyok’s age, to which the young inmate responded, “20 years old.”
Upon learning that it was Boyok’s birthday, Ferdinand initiated a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday” with all present inmates joining in. Overwhelmed by the unexpected display of kindness, Boyok teared up with emotion.
Ferdinand then made the moment even more special by presenting Boyok with several pizza boxes, each adorned with a candle. Boyok was invited to make a birthday wish before blowing out the candle. His heartfelt wish was to “repent properly.” Following this touching moment, the pizza was shared among all the inmates, spreading joy and camaraderie throughout the prison cell.
