1-4-2024 (BANGKOK) Emergency responders sprung into action at 3:16 a.m. on April 1, following a distress call received by the Sawang Boriboon Dhammasathan Radio Centre in Pattaya City. The report indicated a person near-drowning in the sea, situated at the beach opposite Soi Jomtien 11, Pattaya City, within Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. Swiftly, volunteer rescue workers from Sawang Boriboon Dhamma Sathan in Pattaya City were dispatched to provide assistance.
At the scene, both Thai locals and foreign tourists were on edge as they witnessed Mr. Lloyd, a 58-year-old Australian national, venture into the sea for a swim, only to vanish from sight. Prior to the arrival of authorities, a Thai individual aided in guiding him back to the shore. Mr. Lloyd sustained severe injuries and lost consciousness during the ordeal. Promptly, rescue personnel administered crucial first aid and performed CPR in a bid to revive him before transporting him urgently to the hospital.
