2-1-2024 (SEOUL) Lee Jae-myung, the chief of South Korea’s opposition party, was subjected to an attack while visiting the southern port city of Busan on Tuesday, as reported by the reputable news agency Yonhap.
The assailant stabbed Lee in the neck while he was engaging with reporters following his visit to Gadeok Island, where a new airport is currently being constructed.

Yonhap has confirmed that the attacker was apprehended at the scene.
