20-4-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) A tragic incident unfolded in Sarawak, Malaysia, where a man met a fatal fate while attempting to cut metal bars atop an oil drum using a welding machine. The sudden explosion of the oil drum resulted in the man’s head being blown apart and his left arm severed.
Reported by “China Press,” the victim, aged 37, was at a scrap metal recycling centre on the (18th), around 1:30 pm, holding a metal bar over the oil drum and using a welding machine for cutting. It is suspected that the gas inside the oil drum expanded during the welding process, leading to a sudden explosion. The force of the blast caused the man’s head to explode and his left arm to be blown off, with parts of his remains scattered at the scene, creating a horrifying sight.
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the incident does not involve any criminal elements. The body of the deceased has been transported to the hospital mortuary for autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.
